These terms and conditions apply to all transactions on this site. Please read them carefully. They do not affect your statutory rights.

These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website and by accessing this website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out here. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions you may not use or access this website.
The Contract Between Us
Any contract for purchases made through the website will be with A1 Mirrors. A1 Mirrors must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted, and the contract formed, unless agreed otherwise in writing by the company.
Once payment has been received A1 Mirrors will confirm that your order has been received by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your registration form. The shipment email will include your name, the order number and the total price. A1 Mirrors’ acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us on these terms. Any term sought to be imposed by you in your order will not form part of the contract.
A1 Mirrors is entitled to withdraw from any contract in the case of obvious errors or inaccuracies regarding the goods appearing on our website. If an error or inaccuracy is discovered with regards to the advertised price of the goods that you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as possible by e-mail. This will be to inform you of the correct price of the goods, and to ask you if you wish to continue with the order at the amended price, or to cancel the order altogether. Please note that these terms & conditions are only applicable to private customers, business customers will be covered by our ‘business to business’ conditions.
General Terms
These terms and conditions and all transactions relating to this website are governed by English law and are subject to the non–exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. We do not accept amendments to these terms and conditions.
Additional terms and conditions may apply for prize competitions, online bidding, pre–release orders and our added value services and offers. If so, you will be alerted to them at the relevant juncture.
These terms and conditions only cover the A1 Mirrors website. Any other websites which are linked to from this site are governed by their own terms and conditions. We accept no responsibility or liability for the content or operation of websites, which are not under our control. We are required by law to tell you that sales can be concluded in English only and that no public filing requirements apply.

A1 Mirrors Limited own the copyright, trademarks and other intellectual property rights in all material and content on this website, which you may use, download, copy, publish, transmit or otherwise make available by any other means only for your own personal, non–commercial use. Any other use or reproduction of the material or content is strictly prohibited.
You may not create any link to this website without prior written consent, nor may you restrict or inhibit the use or enjoyment of it by anyone else.
While we will use reasonable endeavours to verify the accuracy of any information we place on the A1 Mirrors website, we make no warranties, whether express or implied in relation to its accuracy.
We make no warranty that the A1 Mirrors website will meet your requirements or will be uninterrupted, timely or error–free, that defects will be corrected, or that the site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs or represents the full functionality, accuracy, and reliability of the website.
We will not be responsible or liable to you for any loss of content or material uploaded or transmitted through the A1 Mirrors website.
Due to differences in models of monitors, printers and/or other viewing devices including individual settings on your computer we cannot guarantee that colours on images on our website are the exact and final colour of the item.
Privacy Policy
We are committed to maintaining the privacy of our customers. Your personal details will remain strictly confidential and we will not disclose your information to any third parties (except third-party contactors employed by us to complete your order). We may at times contact you, by post, telephone or email, regarding special offers or with other relevant information. If you do not wish to be contacted at all, please let us know and you will be removed from our database.
While we have done our best to protect your personal information, we can not completely guarantee this as the internet is not 100% secure and there is always a slight risk that your personal information will be obtained.
Delivery
a) We aim to dispatch our products in the quickest time possible. Any time or date for delivery stated by the Company shall be treated as an estimate only. No liability can be accepted by the Company for failure to deliver within any specific time period. The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including consequential loss or loss of profit) arising directly or indirectly from any delay in the delivery of all or any of the goods howsoever caused.
b) The Company shall accept no liability for shortages or damage to goods unless the Customer reports the damage at the time of delivery or within the time specified below.
c) Wherever stated within this website, delivery to UK means delivery to Mainland UK & Northern Ireland only. Please contact us for delivery to other areas.
d) Time is not of the essence unless expressively agreed in writing by the company
e) Your order will be delivered to the ground floor of your home or office as couriers and drivers may not be insured to carry items above ground floor. If you do require us to take your order to a higher level, please contact us to find out if this is options is available to your order. We cannot be held liable for any damages if you order is taken higher than ground floor and/or you damage it whilst moving.
f) If our couriers attempt delivery and are unsuccessful the first time, they will either try again or leave you a card to make arrangements for re-delivery. This greatly increases the chance of damages therefore if your mirror is damaged as a result of failing to accept the package the first time, where applicable we will replace the item however the cost of re-delivering the item will be passed on to you.
Delivery of Shatterproof Mirrors
All Shatterproof Mirrors will be sent by royal mail 1st class recorded delivery, unless you have stated and paid for a special delivery or other method of Delivery. Our aim is to deliver your order within 7 working days after receipt of payment, subject to stock availability. A valid signature will be required on delivery.

Delivery of Glass Mirrors/non-shatterproof mirrors.
Mirrors will be delivered by either courier, our own delivery team or in some cases by approved third-party partners. We aim to dispatch your order as quickly as possible but will be with you within 28 working days of the order being placed. We will give all information we can to tell you the exact day of delivery, but the courier, if you are not in, will leave you a card, you can then phone them and arrange a mutually agreeable day for delivery of your mirror(s). Please note: we only deliver these mirrors within the UK & Ireland.
Handcarved Mirrors
Our range of handcarved mirrors are made to order and cannot be returned (unless damaged) or cancelled after the order has been placed. As the mirrors are handcarved we allow 1-3cm tolerance in size. Please allow up to 28 days for delivery.
Manufacturing tolerance
With all hand made items (including but not limited to Handcarved and made to measure mirrors) there are certain manufacturing tolerances that come in to force. These tolerances are normally kept to a minimum but 5-15mm is not uncommon and is deemed as within our manufacturing tolerance.
Should you require a more accurate size within 3-5mm where for example a frame must fit into a recess/area please ensure this is requested at time of order, as sizes within our normal tolerance range will not be rectified. Where differences exceed sizes in our normal tolerance range, the will be replaced under our 100% satisfaction guarantee scheme.
Illuminated Mirrors, Bathroom Mirrors and all other mirrors being connected to Electrical Mains
We do not fit or install mirrors that require connection to electricity mains to use the mirrors features (lights, sockets etc). We recommend seeking professional installation by a qualified electrician. A1 Mirrors will not be held responsible for any damage to property, injury or death. We will not accept returns when mirrors have been damaged by either yourself or the electrician whilst installing these mirrors.
Made to Measure/Made to Order Mirrors
It is your responsibility to correctly measure and advise us of your required mirror size, taking into account our Manufacturing tolerance. We do not recommend adjusting the size of the mirror yourself, but we can make these adjustments for you for a fee (please contact us for a quote). Again, it is your responsibility to ensure the correct size is communicated to us when making these adjustments and should they be incorrect we assume no responsibility. We do not accept returns on made to measure mirrors but will replace is the mirror is damaged on delivery. Once a made to measure order is placed you may not cancel or receive a refund. Depending on the size and type of order placed we cannot always guarantee to deliver within 28 working days as extra parts, materials etc may need to be ordered by us to accommodate your order. In extreme circumstances this may take 6-8 weeks. We cannot always guarantee a delivery date so we will try our best to advise you at every possible stage. If your order is required urgently, please contact the office prior to ordering to check this is possible. If you place the order before advising us of the urgency we reserve the right not to refund. You have 48hrs to advise us of any damages or defects to your bespoke mirror – after this time we may refuse to refund or provide a replacement. We will not provide an exchange or refund for any items that have been fitted/installed.
By not accepting the delivery at the first attempt you are increasing the risk of damages occurring. If the mirror is damaged as a result of no-one being available to accept delivery at this first attempt we will replace the item, however re-delivery costs will be passed back to you.
Ordering Large Mirrors
You must ensure that any mirrors being ordered to your specifications will fit into your property. We will not be held liable for any mirrors that are too big or unsuitable for use in your home. We supply mirrors in good faith based on the details you provide us.
Acrylic Mirrors
Acrylic mirrors may not be suitable for you if an ‘absolute true’ reflection is necessary. This is due to the fact that the image can appear distorted even if mounted to a perfectly flat surface. Acrylic mirrors are made from strong plastic, therefore may not provide a smooth and even image. Some customers wish to use these mirrors outdoors, which is perfectly safe to do so. However, please note that the mirrors will wear down much quicker due to exposure to sunlight and/or other weathering. Whilst A1 Mirrors Ltd. has taken every step possible to eliminate any distortions, we cannot give a 100% guarantee that your acrylic mirror will be free of them. By providing payment and completing your order with A1 Mirrors Ltd, you have agreed for us to supply you with acrylic mirrors and you indemnify A1 Mirrors Ltd against any dissatisfaction
Returns & Cancellations
We hope you are satisfied with your purchase. If you wish to return your purchase because it is simply not what you require or description misread and not because of any product fault, you must inform us of this within seven (7) days of receipt of your mirror. After this time period we are under no legal obligation to accept the return of your mirror. Please note: If free postage was applied then the initial cost of postage and packaging to send you the mirror will not be refunded in these circumstances. The customer will also be responsible for returning the mirror in the original packaging by recorded delivery and for all return shipment charges.
We do not accept returns of bespoke mirrors, handcarved and individual custom-made mirrors including engraved mirrors.
All returns must have a returns number. To obtain this number please email our returns department at returns@a1mirrors.co.uk stating your reason for the return and quoting your order reference number. DO NOT automatically send returns to the address on the website unless you are specifically instructed to do so, as sending it back to the wrong address can slow down your refund.
We would like you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, so please make sure you have read and understood the description/s thoroughly of the mirror/s you are or have ordered from our website and that you have selected the correct items, we do not send goods out on a trial basis. If the goods are found to be undamaged, all return delivery charges will be the responsibility of you (the customer). In all cases where the goods need to be returned they must be packed in their original packaging, complete with all accessories and information leaflets. The protective film to the front of the mirror/s must be intact and not dislodged in anyway. You must also return your purchase in the original outer box or covering to ensure that the product remains undamaged. We advise all returns are sent by a traceable method such as recorded delivery. You are responsible for any insurance for returning the goods to the relevant despatch office.
We will aim to process all refunds within 28 working days of receipt of returned items.
If your mirror is damaged on receipt we will replace it for another. Damages to bespoke items must be reported to us within 48hrs and within 7 days for everything else (please note our policy regarding delivery above). Please email customer.services@a1mirrors.co.uk or write to our office within the specified time periods explaining what the problem is, we will not accept telephone calls or voicemail notifications. It may be helpful if you could attach a photograph of the damaged area. You will then be instructed as to what to do next, if the product/s are to be returned, please try and keep the original packaging and you must take care of the item. In all cases a replacement/refund will not be given until the goods have been checked and validated by an authorised member of staff. If you have signed for the mirror as being in good condition upon receipt you may not be able to obtain a refund or an exchange for any damages found.
Use of Third Party Contractors
From time to time we may employ the use of third party contractors to process your order. These include, but not limited to our retail partners, manufacturers, couriers and drop-shippers. Your contract will still remain with us, however some additional terms and conditions may be imposed. You will be notified of any additional terms that differ from these and you have the right to cancel (except for made to measure/order items) if you do not agree. To enable your order to continue with third-party contractors we will have to pass on information about you, such as name, address and telephone number. By completing your order you accept these terms and give your consent to us sharing this information with our partners.
Force Majeure
In the event that the Company is prevented from carrying out its obligations as a result of any cause beyond its control such as, but not limited to Acts of God. War, Strikes, Lock-outs, Flood and Failure of third parties to deliver goods, the Company shall be relieved of its obligations and liabilities for as long as such fulfilment is prevented.
Acceptance of Orders
No order placed by the Customer shall be deemed to be accepted by the Company, until the Company issues a final acceptance e-mail of the order to the Customer. All orders are fulfilled subject to these terms and conditions of sale, unless otherwise varied by an agreement in writing. Please note that colours and finishes shown on our web site are approximations. Actual colours and finishes may vary.
Prices
Prices are correct at time of going to press/uploading on web site. Goods are invoiced at the prices ruling at the time of acceptance of an order. Charges are made for all delivery options except where detailed otherwise. The Company reserves the right to modify prices in respect of orders which have not been accepted.
The Company's Liability
a) The Company shall under no circumstances whatsoever be liable for any indirect or consequential loss howsoever caused.
b) The Company’s liability in respect of breach or non-performance of any order shall be limited to the invoiced value to which the claim relates.
c) Goods are not tested or sold as fit for any particular purposes or for use under any specific conditions.
d) Subject as expressly provided in these Terms and Conditions, and except where the goods are sold to a person dealing as a consumer (within the meaning of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977), all warranties, conditions or other terms implied by statute or common law are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
e) Where the goods are sold under a consumer transaction (as defined by the Consumer Transactions (Restrictions on Statements) Order 1976) the statutory rights of the Customer are not affected by these Terms and Conditions.
Contract Law
Purchases on the web or over the telephone are made from A1 Mirrors Limited. The company is a UK company with registered address at 437 Lever Edge Lane, Bolton, Lancashire BL3 3BG. Registration No: 06900057. Customers accept that by dealing with the Company they agree to the Terms and Conditions contained in this website and that any contract formed with the Company will be a contract under the subject to the laws of England whose courts will have exclusive jurisdiction in the determination of any disputes.
By placing and completing an order via this website you agree to have understood and accepted these terms & conditions.
Disputes
We aim to provide a good standard of customer care and most queries, complaints, disputes etc can be resolved by simply working together. If you decide to take any action against the company before allowing us reasonable time to rectify the situation we will attempt to recover any legal costs from you regardless of the outcome.
VAT
All our mirrors are inclusive of VAT at the current rate.
