Two Way Mirrors by A1 Mirrors


Our two way mirrors, or one way mirrors as they are sometimes referred to, are created using high-quality acrylic glass which is virtually shatterproof. This makes this sort of mirror ideal to be used in security areas or areas where there needs to be additional saftey.

How does a two-way mirror work?

We manufacture these mirrors in a different way to traditional mirrors, so more light is able to pass through the mirror. On the side which is lighter you will see a mirror, on the darker side it feels like your looking out of a window.


On the light side or bright side - because the room is brighter most of the light is being reflected off the surface of the mirror and because the room on the otherside is dim then no light seeps through.

On the otherside or the dim side - As there is not much light in the room to reflect, the light from the bright side is able to seep through allowing the observer to see through to the other side
